Reewoud Energietechniek is a partner in smart energy supply. The company is essentially oriented towards the Netherlands and supplies to Energy Companies, Installation and Infra-installation Businesses and the Public Space.

Reewoud is a family-owned company focusing on long term strategy. Operations are supervised by a management team. The company is not on the stock exchange and its resulting long term vision enables optimum response to demand in the marketplace.

Process Innovation

Reewoud is originally a technical and electrical engineering trading company specializing in Medium Voltage (up to 36 kV). In recent years, the company has innovated substantially and has developed into a system integrator and chain controller. Reewoud now also gives advice and handles project management and compound products. In these markets, Reewoud is an established name.

Social Responsibility

The company's activities are based on socially responsible entrepreneurship. The company's activities are focused on long term value creation in three dimensions: market (economic value), human (human consequences) and environment (consequences for nature and the environment).

Reewoud invests in knowledge development and spreading through facilitating learning jobs, end-of-study internships and active market research. Knowledge networks the company participates in include Dutch Power and the EMT Project.

Dutch Power is the network for the exchange of knowledge and experience in the field of power supply infrastructure. Moreover, Dutch Power participants encourage joint research and innovation projects, market development sharing and combining activities.
The EMT Project is aimed at stimulating innovation power within the Energy and Environmental Technology market with a view to creating knowlegde intensive and innovative companies in the field. The project started in September 2005 in the Dutch Arnhem region, traditionally the Dutch 'electricity node' with a large number of energy and environmental technolgy companies with a substantial pool of knowledge in their field. The EMT Project is therefore firmly rooted in the region.
Reewoud works with the local Felua Group with a view to employing physically challenged persons.
Local communtiy support by Reewoud has included head sponsorship of the national premier league Squash Apeldoorn team. Besides, Reewoud personally sponsors Laurens Jan Anjema and Natalie Grinham, two well-known international top squash players.

The Environment

In terms of the environment, Reewoud is keen on avoiding harmful components in products. Wherever possible, these are replaced by environmentally neutral components. Should the use of such components be technically impossible, Reewoud joins with users and the original supplier in ensuring signaling and tracking during use and when recycling at the end of the products' life cycle.

Stock as Part of the Supply Chain

In recent years, Reewoud has gained substantial experience in Supply Chain Management. One of the things we have learned is that it is vital to customers that Reewoud maintains buffer stocks in order to handle supply and demand peaks. It is through this stock function that Reewoud distinguishes itself in the Dutch market. Companies on the stock exchange typically lack the ability to maintain large stocks because of quarterly reporting obligations towards shareholders. Reewoud's ownership structure not only allows optimum flexibility, but the company checks back with customers on a regular basis. The horizontal organisational structure enables rapid adjustment to changing conditions.
